Colorado Volunteer Support Services Inc.’s mission is to assist other exempt organizations primarily focusing on, but not limited to, Veteran and/or military based organizations in Colorado.
Colorado Volunteer Support Services, Inc. was founded in March 2013 by Gloria A Clough. In 2012 while fighting cancer, Gloria volunteered to be the Colorado state coordinator for the 4th annual National Armed Forces FreedomRide which raises money to help veterans and those currently serving. She has always had a passion for helping those who have served. Gloria started working on the FreedomRide and didn’t like how she was advised on how to do things. So she took the ball and ran with it. Her immediate vision is to help Veterans and those currently serving. Her hope is to grow Colorado Volunteer Support Services, Inc. into a well-recognized nonprofit organization that helps people in many different areas.
Colorado Volunteer Support Services, Inc. was organized as a middle man, meaning we raise funds to help other established organizations. In the future, we may decide to take a more front seat approach where the organization works more one on one with those directly benefiting from our efforts. Currently, our main fundraising is the National Armed Forces FreedomRide (NAFFR) held on Armed Forces day every year. The NAFFR event benefits the two charities we have chosen, which can change from year to year.
